Welcome to our APRS Page. If you don't already know, APRS stands for: Automatic Position Reporting System. You can read all you ever wanted on this exciting mode of operation by clicking here: Learn APRS  Our APRS is broadcast on 144.390 at 1200 baud from about 420 feet in Pharr Texas. Dr. Noel Lopez, NR5R supplies the wide area Digipeater, its a Yaesu 2500 and a KPC3+ with full UPS. The original system was put in operation in 1998, this system has never needed service until we changed tower sites in 2008 and is still going strong!

 

Hats off to Greg Sargent KA0ARS (silent key), Dr. Noel Lopez NR5R, Dave WA5MMY, Toby N5SIM and John KC5WBG for all the work on this system.

 

The APRS Igate and E-Mail server run by N5SIM Toby Driscoll, its up at 35ft in Mission Texas. Connected to the internet via Road Runner and its working quite well.
